The L96 AWS by Tokyo Marui was developed as the first version of this class and is highly recommended. It is the first spring-powered L96 model where the magazine is placed where it should be, without wasting unnecessary space at the expense of barrel length.
Unfortunately, like all other Marui weapons, this L96 has very low muzzle energy due to Japanese regulations. However, this makes it an excellent platform for tuning. With a few modifications (recommended only for experienced tinkerers), very good results can be achieved.

This Spring Powered Bolt Action Rifle is a super lightweight and quiet Airsoft Sniper Rifle that is based on the TM VSR; so much so that it is compatible with all Tokyo Marui VSR upgrades such as PDI and Prometheus brands.
The tactical sniper is basically a MK1 pistol (Ref. 14728) with stock and a 41 cm long barrel. This makes the sniper even more powerful and accurate than the MK1 pistol. Furthermore the tactical sniper has a 21 mm standard picatinny rail for mounting aiming devises.
Supplied with a functional Airsoft suppressor, the G-Spec is the tactical and stealthy version of Marui’s excellent VSR-10 spring bolt action Airsoft sniper rifle.
