Designed and manufactured by APS, AKS74 is a high-quality AEG replica of one of the most well-known assault rifles ever made.
It is a fixed-stock full-length barrel model, which can be an ideal choice for close and mid-range engagements in the field.
Made primarily from steel with the addition of aluminum alloy and polymers, this 950mm long replica is outfitted with a wooden stock, handguard, and a polymer hicap magazine. The body, dust cover, magazine, outer barrel, stock, trigger guard, and muzzle device are machined of steel, with trigger, sights, and a few small elements made of aluminum. Only the pistol grip and magazine are manufactured of polymer. The fixed wooden stock is comfortable to use. For mounting optical sights, an AK-style dovetail rail is located on the left side of the receiver. The barrel is outfitted with a 14mm CCW thread and can take various muzzle devices, suppressors, and tracers.
The custom V3-type "Silver Edge" gearbox implemented in this replica provides stable and reliable operation. It grants a base for future tuning and modifications. It also features an EBB system mimicking the authentic action of the firearm.
